The PSD is a functional system designed in response to the legislative changes in NSW concerning the reporting of transactions to the police and the maintenance of records on a computers

What will PSD do?

As you would expect it will keep your records in the form specified by law. It will capture and retain the types of data specified. It will also produce the data file for the police and the Police Property department have already reviewed the PSD file and confirmed that it complies with their requirements - copy of their email can be supplied on request.

What else will PSD do?

• It produces a receipt when you purchase goods or take them on consignment.
• It produces a pawn ticket which includes calculations of the redemption date, interest, etc.
• It produces an invoice when you sell goods or they are redeemed.
• Both the receipt and ticket include the statement of ownership required by law.

and for pawnbrokers:

• It will produce lists of pledges beyond redemption so you can send goods to auction.
• It will produce lists of all your current pledges.
• It will produce lists of all your pledges ever taken.

and for second-hand dealers

• It will produce a purchase day book.
• It will produce a sales day book.
• It will produce a stock list and valuation.

and for everyone

• It will keep staff, shop and storage location details.
• It will allow you to search by many fields and recall past customers re-using names, addresses and dates of birth, etc.

and you don't even have to log on your old stock for PSD to work!

PSD is easy to operate. Click on the relevant icon/shortcut the system displays it's main/opening screen. PSD used the normal windows type interfaces..

This is the main transaction input screen. While the customer is at the counter you enter each item of data that is required to be captured. When you have finished the system produces a form of purchase receipt or pawn ticket. No special stationary is required.

The PSD System can operate on most forms of IBM compatible's using any Microsoft operating system from Windows 95 upwards.
