Debt Collector is a simple to use debt collection program. It is
designed for use by people who are owed money and whose principal place
of business is or who reside in New South Wales. It complies with the
court procedures in NSW. If you are out of state and really want this

a version with you local court forms for you.
Debt Collector manages the data concerning those who owe you money and goes
through a letter writing procedure up to and including issuing court proceedings.
No prior skills or knowledge are needed save for basic Windows 95 + experience. Debt
Collector comes in a self installing package, no effort is required to commence
collecting your debts.
Don't forget:
- You can collect debts up to 6 years old
- You can collect debts after you have stopped trading
- You can collect debts after you have retired

As you can see this one has been filled in with details for a proposed user. You
have to enter
your details in your own copy of the system. You enter your local court details
and the records for those people
who owe you money by clicking Next. Its all done on this screen case by case. Finally you will want
to start the process of chasing them. All you do is to click on File | Print on
the top menu and your computer will print the appropriate letters and court documents.
Debt Collector works on a 14 day cycle so if you click Print 15 days later it will
produce the correct next letter and so on.
In detail, Debt Collector carries out the following actions (and it automatically
remembers the days which have passed since the last action):
- Writes a pleasant first chasing letter (in your name) giving the debtor the opportunity to make an offer to pay or dispute the debt in writing.
- Writes a firm second letter (in your name) which includes advising them they may be reported to a credit agency if they don't pay.
- Writes a formal final demand in the style of a court document.
- Produces
- The formal court documents required to commence proceedings against the debtor.
- A covering letter to the court which also advises you the correct amount to include for court fees.
In short it is all you need to follow through right into court proceedings when you have a debt to chase.
